Gideon Park

Library Technician · Carlton / Melbourne, Victoria

Gideon Park believes that wandering the aisles of an independent bookshop is an antidote to the rushed noise of modern digital life. Settling into a timber chair at a Carlton bookstore cafe, he compares staff-pick notes on a newly translated Korean novel over a double espresso before heading to his library branch. For Gideon, sharing the bookseller's thoughtful reasoning behind an overlooked small-press title is an act of cultural guardianship.
