Julian maintains backend services for a software company; his own Small Form Factor computer is a separate evening project, not a licence to modify employer equipment. He measures clearances and compares fan noise at the same room temperature because his partner shares the living room. Some weeks a stable build and lunch away from the desk matter more than another benchmark.
