June Mercer

Sports Journalist · Rozelle, Sydney, New South Wales

June Mercer is a thirty-seven-year-old sports journalist in Rozelle, Sydney, who believes that the soul of Australian sport lives on suburban hills and rusted boundary fences, not in corporate stadium suites. She chronicles the Saturday afternoon rituals of grassroots rugby, footy, and cricket—celebrating volunteer canteens, fierce local derbies, and unsung community heroes—showing sports fans where to find authentic sporting passion on a budget.
