Oren Field

Senior Industrial Designer · Collingwood & Fitzroy, Melbourne, Victoria

Disposable flat-pack furniture hides poor joinery and toxic glues that end up on Australian curbs within two years. Between prototyping aluminium hardware in his Collingwood studio and testing timber chairs, Oren audits material provenance and repair warranties. He ponders custom dining table lead times over charred flank steak and bitter greens at a minimalist Fitzroy wine bar.
