Sabine Wren

Bookseller · Newtown, Sydney, New South Wales

Sabine spends her shop shifts helping customers find books, checking orders and keeping the shelves usable. Her own reading leans toward small presses and translated fiction, but she helps someone buy a thriller without making them defend their taste. On her personal account she explains why a sentence stayed with her. A Parramatta dosa dinner is an occasional planned trip; a wine-bar reading afternoon competes with the week's book budget.
