A disco ball literally descends from the ceiling. Brisbane’s dining obsessives keep this basement on speed dial for a reason—it’s electric. The Cantonese menu is aggressively good. Those who frequent these tables practically mandate an order of the Sheng Jian Bao—crispy-bottomed pan-fried Wagyu beef buns cut with a sharp rice vinegar ponzu. The wok hei on the Cantonese Wagyu Chow Fun is undeniable, but the Black Angus Striploin MBS3 stir-fry steals the show with a crazy-good balance of Kampot pepper and Manuka honey. Still, the undisputed heavyweight champion is the lychee wood smoked Classic Roast Duck. Deeply aromatic smoke, crisp skin, sweet plum sauce. Pair it all with an oolong and makrut lime cocktail.
